Transmutaciones

Rojkind Arquitectos, one of the most important architectural firms in Mexico City, approached us to do design a methodology on how could craftsmen from the Mexico City area could rethink they way of working to start generating lo-tech solutions for hi-tech generative architectural designs, as part of their on-going project "Transmutaciones". An speculative research on how to work with craftsmen to fabricate computer assited design. The outcome result as a digital research paper with different aspects on collaborative methodologies, impact indicators and measurements, understanding on craft and a conceptual proposal on how designers and architects may "hack" the crafts of these craftsmen to create different ways of parametric design. This project was used as a framework for Rojkind Arquitectos to bring social innovation on communities and positive impact on local economies outside Mexico City.
