When Another Company, one of the biggest PR agencies in Mexico City approached us to design with an affordable giveaway for an upcoming Tech event, we definitely took the challenge.
60 Plant Lamps were produced for this Tech Event held by Another Company.
The Studio had to come up with a cheap, simple solution that could be designed, tested and produced in less than 3 weeks. We designed a product that could feel innovative, technological, but simple and honest at the same time. And since this event was focused on kids, we wanted to design something that could not only be useful, but showed how it was made, and perhaps, inspire kids into electronics and science.
This lamp turns on when sticked into the grownd.
We designed an acrylic lamp with simple electronic components that would turn on when sticked into the ground. The lamps consists on a circuit that only is closed in contact with the soil (or other mild resisting material, like your tongue for example), that could work as a dim light that could work while sticked on a pot.
